Netbook non vede più wi-fi

Ciao a tutti,
Ho un problema di questo tipo con un vecchio netbook dove É installata una versione di linuxmint modificata.
Premetto che il netbook non É mio e che all'origine il Wi-Fi funzionava.
Ho provato a navigare in rete per vedere se c'erano utenti che abbiano avuto il mio stesso problema è ho visto che inizialmente si consiglia di fare dei controlli dando delle istruzione dal terminale.
Penso che la cosa più importante che ho trovato sia questa dando l'istruzione "sudo iwconfig"

Quale versione modificata di Mint ?

Nel terminale scrivi uno alla volta i comandi e posta il risultato con copia e incolla e il tasto codice o in un file di testo :

E se si tratta di una versione di A.Arpaja sono distro obsolete non più supportate.

Ma secondo te a questo punto É meglio installare una versione nuova piuttosto di sistemare il problema...?
Tutto sommato il suo discreto lavoro il netbook lo fa, solo che per qualche motivo É saltato il wi-fi...
Se mi dici che perderei meno tempo, faccio un backup e butto su qualcosa di leggero...

Se non mi dici niente quale versione, quale computer come faccio a risponderti in maniera precisa.
Inoltre non è detto che l'hardware sia supportato con tutte le modifiche che hanno fatto al kernel e da quello che mi ricordo A.A., mi pare si sia fermato a Mint 9-10 o giù di lì.

Sicuramente É una versione di almeno due o tre anni fa, forse anche più, e di conseguenza obsoleta...
Non sono un super esperto come te, mi dici dove devo andare per farti vedere le informazioni che hai bisogno.

Non c'è niente da arrabbiarsi.
Te l'ho scritto sopra come devi fare, dal menù cerca terminale, scrivi i comandi e posta il risultato con il tasto codice.
