Risoluzione schermo Xubuntu su fuji-siemens esprimo mobile v5515

Ciao a tutti,
stavo tentando di installare Xubuntu (14.04 e 16.04) sul pc in oggetto ma la risoluzione dello schermo non va oltre i 640x480.
Immagino sia un problema di driver, ho cercato in rete e ho provato a sostituire manualmente un driver e xorg ma senza successo
(vedi https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?...547&page=2 ).
Ho pero' notato che se avvio una Lubuntu 14.04 LIVE la risoluzione e' 1024x768 (quella che mi basterebbe),
ma se Installo dallo stesso cd, al riavvio del computer la risoluzione e' di nuovo 640x480 senza possibilita' di cambiarla.

L'intento e' quello di avere su Xubuntu (14 o 16) la risoluzione di 1024x768.

Cosa posso fare?

installa, aggiorna, controlla in driver aggiuntivi cosa ti propone a riguardo la scheda video.

Scusate, mi sono dimenticato di scriverlo, e' un'operazione che ho gia' fatto con tutte le distro, ma non mi propone nulla.
Non c'e modo di capire che driver usa quando viene lanciata la "live" ?

Ho testato anche una Puppy_linux su usb ed anche in questo caso la risoluzione e' giusta.
Da quella distro sono riuscito a scaricare il file Xorg che credo sia in uso ed attraverso uno Xorg wizard sono riuscito a selezionare la risoluzione giusta associandola ad un generico driver "VESA" ..mah
