Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS Remix - Nautilus non monta /mnt

In una partizione ho installato Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS Plus Remix, che uso con Cinnamon perchè è l'ambiente grafico con cui mi trovo meglio.
Il disco fisso ha varie partizioni, tutte con punto di mount all'interno di /mnt.
Per motivi che non comprendo, se tento di accedere a quelle partizioni col file-manager Nautilus attraverso /mnt, non ci riesco, perchè (paradossalmente) il punto di mount /mnt è, per Nautilus, invisibile.
Scrivo Invisibile, non Inaccessibile, perchè se tento di bypassare la cartella /mnt scrivendo nella barra dei percorsi il percorso cella partizione, la partizione viene montata senza alcun problema.
